Yeah, same discount, same shitty rate here. They said that in order to dodge a reimbursement bill from Ally, I would have to make five payments (???). Three would be nice. Hey, what bank can get you a 2.2% interest rate? Mine offered 3.75%.

I wish. I don't believe they'll give me an auto loan, as I've never been in the military. Somebody needs to cater to LEOs on that level; why don't you see banks offering special services to LEOs, firefighters, and other public service personnel?

Stop paying "Stupid Tax" ! Save your $ and buy what you need. I was ( and I stress, was) a USAA member for 18 + years till I decided to shop around. Was able to beat their insurance rates and loan rates with other companies.
Having two driving teenagers forced the shopping spree.

??? on the stupid tax. Where did you find better than 2.49% interest for a new auto loan? My credit union offers 3.99%. I'd like to refinance under 3% if I can.

Roger THAT!

Maybe some national LE association should start small like USAA did way back when. If I remember right it was a bunch of Army officers trying to find a way to insure themselves. Now they're huge, not the cheapest, but consistently rated in the top two for customer satisfaction.

btw, I'm not connected to USAA except by being a long-time happy customer.

When i bought my truck end Of January i got 5500 in rebates. If i had a 99 or new gm i could have got another 1k off.

Has anyone seen that custom Rawlings leather? I was I I close to getting it in my truck with double red stiching. It was 1700 but would have raised my note up $50 more bucks a month.

Yeah I got the extra grand because my wife DDs a 2005 Sunfire. It would be nice to see some LEOs or the like put together some sort of credit union on that level.

I actually DID'T get the 1000 loyalty rebate even though we had 3 GM vehicles: 2009 Silverado (that I traded on the '11) 2006 GTO, and my wife's 2004 Ion 2. Apparently they changed the way it works now and you have to appear on their manifest list, which I think you have to pay off a GMAC/Ally loan to appear on.
