i think what he meant is the wrist pin location may be different. i guess you would have to look at stock 4.8 and 5.3 rods and see if the stroke size difference is the same as rod size difference.

This sentence is my only real objection. A cam swap is easy peasy. A crank swap requires engine removal. Not exactly what i would consider similar in the fact that if you do the cam, you might as well do the crank.


Could go either way on the deal your looking at. If your going to pull it, you may as well get a 6.0 and just do it once. However if your on a budget currently, the deal you have isn't bad at all.

 

just go with 6.0 + 243 heads . . .
