Exclamation Need Help with my 07 Silverado

I have a 07 Silverado 4.8 with a Intake, Exhaust, Wheatley Tune, and Longtubes, and i am about to buy a T224 cam with springs and i was wondering how hard it is to make my motor a 5.3.... I was told if I change the Crankshaft and rods that there it would be.. Is this correct? Is the bore the same just the stroke different? If im going to get a cam in i might as well do everything at once. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I might be wrong, but it would probably be cheaper and easier in the end just to find a 5.3, add your mods, then drop it in your truck.
You could then have the 5.3 work done and still drive your truck. Then when the engine's ready, swap it into the truck...

If you go that route then just drop a 6.0 in it . . .

I am pretty sure the pistons are different as well. The 4.8s are different then the 5.3s i believe.

Should all be same as the 5.3l has flat tops now.
