We are currently designing a bolt on system for using a LSA blower on the GMT900 trucks with the 6.2 engine. It will be a kit including the ZL1 top hat, upgraded aftercooler radiator, LPE coolant pump, 8 rib accessory belt, boost gage and mount, 3 gallon coolant reservoir, 4" intake, blower snout rebuild kit, base tune, and compete installation instructions. This will be a DYI kit with everything but the supercharger included, we are targeting for a price point of under $3000.00. Our test vehicle is our GMC Sierra Denali AWD with the 6.2, I'll keep you guys updated as we should have this completed within a few weeks.

The supercharger, coolant tank (built by Adrenaline Performance), coolant radiator, lines, and 8 rib pulleys and bracket from LS Simple went great. Smooth installation. The real problem was trying to put the CTS V balancer on the L92 engine with VVT. I did all my mocking up off the vehicle and all I had was an LS3 to work with, so I thought I was good to go. However, the harmonic balancer would not press on with the HUGE VVT bulge on the timing cover on the L92 (L99 Camaro guys will have the same problem).
There were a few options to consider at this point. (1) delete the VVT and put a non VVT cam in it (2) Try to find a machine shop that could mill down and possibly balance the crank pulley as the AC portion is no longer used (3) Spend $900 on an aftermarket harmonic balancer.
After carful consideration, trying to meet a target price point and talking with some machine shops I decided to remove the VVT and install a LS9 cam and matching valve springs, a boost friendly cam is never a bad thing. Not to mention the price from Summit Racing with springs and cam gear with 2nd day air was $220.00 .
That being said I fired it up tonight on a roughed in tune, I have been tuning CTS Vs, ZL1s, and ZR1s for awhile now, so it was actually pretty close, and drove it home tipping in the throttle a little despite the snow covered roads. All I can say is WOW, throttle response is quick and responsive. It has a subtle whine as you begin to tip in and when boost comes on it starts to whine distinctly and pulls hard. Good thing it's an AWD.
Tomorrow I'll being dialing it in and due to the fact my dyno is a 2WD, I will take it to Utah to put it up on a friends AWD dyno to do the WOT pulls and get final numbers soon. Stock with a muffler it did 310 hp to the wheels. I will get a revised parts list and price shortly as many things have changed during this build.
