whats odd is, mine has run it's best times hot. right off the street to tech, to the staging lanes. or nascar style. back to back to back runs.
i like the power band from the dyno sheet. over coming the soggy low end is a quick fix. just more tuning fun

the more i think about it. the more i want to get away from the vvt crap. hence why i am very intrigued about this cam set up. loppy cam noise is something i don't need. being sneaky is so much more fun.

Mufflers only exist to alter or quiet the tone of a vehicle. The only reason to change a muffler on a factory truck is to change the sound. That's why I swapped out my enormous factory muff for a short 3.5" glasspack and never looked back. The most you'll gain or lose by swapping mufflers is negligible anyways. Now as far as camshafts go, they determine how tour vehicle makes its power. If you're going to pull your camshafts and upgrade your valvesprings, generally your ultimate goal is to get more usable power out of your setup. Why give up usable power for a distinct sound in an N/A application? To each his own; as much as I like to hear a lumpy muscle car idling at a traffic light, my first priority with internal engine mods is usable power.

im a sneaky son of a bitch when it comes to drag racing. the closer it sounds to stock, the more fun i can have with it.

you all forget that a cam with a lower LSA will have a tighter powerband. if your racing and have a converter there is no need for a wide powerband, your truck is only going to be sitting in the top 2000 rpms while racing. Now if its a street driven DD with no converter, then yes wide powerbands are nice.
