Anybody lowered 4/7 beware.
I cant say that If anybody lowered less than 4/7 might have the same problem.
I have had this problem on 2 RC trucks, mine and my cosin that got me curious about it.
Year ago we lowered my cousin truck 4/7 and blow the driver side shock twice, I thought that it was his ruff driving style.
3 Months ago I lowered my truck and blew my shock last week. So I took truck to shop to find out what the deal was cause I didn't want to change the shock again for it to blow up.
We found out the driver side shock has to be shorter 2in than the passenger side
which meant that drivers side was bottomed out and had no movement. btw I got bell-tech lowering shocks
Now that we know what the problem is, I will probaly order two different length shocks or change stock shock mount for a better design cause I think that stock setup wasnt meant for the truck to be lowered.
I hope that will help for future reference and will keep this thread updated as I move forward.

which belltech shocks do you have? the street performance( gray) or the nitro drop2 shocks( black)
ive had mine lowered 4/7 for 2 years on belltech street performance shocks and they are just fine. no problems with blowing out the shock.

The only reason that I might say that blew my shock out was loading the truck with 2 engines and it was bottoming out for couple on miles. You cant really tell if you guys have the same problem or not without measuring on both shocks and finding a difference. I dont seeing it being and issue for normal street driving but am **** like that and like my truck to be balanced.
The only issue will be bottoming one shock and the other wont so it will blow one before the other.
I got Belltech Street Performance Shocks they pretty much new under 3000 miles on them. We got alot of pot holes here.
I will measure bolt to bolt on the rear shocks on my truck and with my cousin truck and see the difference. Can someone please measure too just to compare since both of us had the same problem or I wont be able to tell.

How long is yalls? I hauled a trailor loaded with furniture, fridge, bed, washer/dryer. Then a motor, engine lift, a 3/16" thick steel bbq pit i built at work and never had an issue. Mine has atleast 6-7k on it.
