I have 305/40's on mine and they rub a tad. I'm going to replace them with 285/40's.

Try to stay around 32" max for little to no rubbing.

32" tall tire is the factory size tires. My 13 crew cab dropped 4/5 on the factory 275/55R20s ate holes in the front fender liners on a daily basis. I could fit two fingers between the top of the tire and the fender liner, roughly 1.4" gap.

Your truck might have settled. I have a 4/6, had 275-55-20 with no rubbing unless I hit a big dip. Now it is on 305-50-20 and still the same thing.

I've got 285/45-22 with a 4/6 and rubs at full lock left and right and I do have holes in the top of my inner fenders. no big deal really. Just funny when it's wet and in a parking lot, with wheels turned and moving slow they squeal. Funny to see people look like WTF. Next time I will get 275/45-22's I like a little more sidewall than 285/40 or 35's. The thing nice about 285/45's is they are everywhere used for real cheap with decent tread life left.

The wheels I picked up are 31mm offset. I might just go with the 305 40 22
