Put it inline with the current muffler. No an oem resonator is more restrictive

I should have got the y pipe with cats!!

I think il just make do for now. Find a shop who can just rebuild my mid pipe. With high flow cats and real x pipe for true duals. Il do that when the rest of the build is done.

I am running a big 3.5 straight through RV muffler on my truck. Put it in place of the factory 6.2 catback muffler and kept the resonator on and its pretty loud but has no drone and is in no way raspy. I bought it off a member here let me see if I can find some old pics...

Put a bullet in line in front of your existing muffler to kill drone.

You are dead set on running duals, so just ignore everything in this thread and run the exhaust how you want. You wont be happy with what anyone else tells you, so run your duals and do not run 2.5" that is a waste of time. Run 3" atleast your 6.2 and whipple will thank you.

there are only 2 options for a drone free exhaust. stock and corsa. if you have long tubes and no converters you will need to put the longest bullet in front of the corsa muffler to kill the rasp.

Mine has never had a drone, just a tad of rasp

Im going with a different setup myself, as im tired of having to kill my truck at the drive thru

well i went ahead and had the exhaust re done. They installed a small resonator before an oval muffler. ran it over the axle and dumped up by the back bumper.

idle is close to the same maybe a little better sound. il be adding a cut out.

Cruising its quiet and under throttle it has a clean smooth sound. also feels like it has more bottom end now. which il need with the 37" tires here soon.

Il do true duals once we do all the rear suspension. they where worried about doing al the work then when i do the rear long travel it would be in the way of the shocks or bed cage bracing. etc.
