The MAF is in the stock factory air box. That is just the tube from the stock air box to the throttle body.

So I had heard a lot about the "stock air box mod". Here is what I did to mine when I installed my MIT tube.

That looks nice. I thought about doing that with my box, but I had problems with dirt clogging my filter form that fender hole. My truck was wrecked on that side about 3 months after I got it, so I'm not sure if the body shop did something over there putting it back together or what. Other guys say they don't have that problem. I went ahead and changed out my box. I don't have the dirt issue any more.
