Default Kooks 1 7/8" Headers

I've been looking around at the various headers available for our trucks and have seen some reports of the ARH 1 7/8" headers having some clearance issues. Before I drop 1.5k on a set of headers I would like some feedback on how these fit.....Anyone out there running these?

mine fit perfect with about 1" clearnace, I have installed several other sets as well that fit fine.
I think the ARH clearance issue is with either earlier trucks, 07-08 denali 6.2 or
earlier built kits and they have since changed their jigs.
imho

That's interesting about ARH's jigs . . .

If they've really changed their driver's side jig, I need to give 'em a shout and see if they'll swap out my D/S header. Sure would be better than trying to gain clearance any other way!

If there are no known clearance issue this is probably the way I will go. Coated Kooks 1 7/8" w/ catted y pipe and magnaflow catback.

I wish I could know for certain though that the 1 7/8 will not lose any hp/tq below 3k....

My 1 7/8" Kooks fit great. The ball joints ensure that if you did have a clearance issue with the Y pipe, you can adjust it.

Make sure you get headers intended for the 09+ trucks that don't have the 2-bolt flange.

Everywhere I see them for sale the descriptions aren't very helpful. They seem to only list 1 3/4" or 1 7/8", catted or no cats. No mention of whether they are 6.2 specific and most seem to show '03-'11 2WD/4WD for compatibility.

Where did you get yours?

Just to be clear, my post was referring to Arh,
either would be a good choice.

As far as torque goes, zero issue imho.
And, lt's and cat back on 6.2= loud

I would call them.
I could be wrong about the jigs but I have personally installed about 5 sets on NNBS with no issues. 2008 being the first year, I put a set of Dynatechs on an 07 nnbs and had to notch the tranny xmember out by 2 inches.

They shipped me a set of Vette headers[to Canada] that didn't fit and took them back and paid the freight for the return and the re-ship of the correct stuff.
I think they will help you out.

I ordered mine from a sponsor on LS1tech. He had a group purchase going on at the time, but I don't know if mine were part of it. Still ended up being the cheapest by far....
