Well I ordered them today, 2-4 weeks out.

Kooks 1 7/8" w/ '09+ catted y pipe. Jet Hot 1700 degree Sterling Silver coating all for 1350 shipped. I was advised to try them with the factory exhaust first then go with a cat back if it wasn't loud enough......lol. I wasn't worried about not being loud enough but TOO loud with a magnaflow. It seems backwards to put headers on a restrictive factory exhaust but we'll see how it turns out.

Good choice and good price.
I don't want to bet it to death,
I have had my 6.2 a year and have some different exhaust set ups.

Sound/loud is very subjective and somewhat age related.
I put headers on first and it sounded great, but since I sell Magnaflow, I made a custom 3.5 inch catback. Too loud, added a 3.5 resonator, too loud.
Went to 3 inch catback, too loud, added resonator, about right

So, take their advise, go slow with other exhaust changes.

I know it is isn't the same because a true dual x-pipe setup is completely different but my '06 GTO with headers, cats, and magnaflow catback was perfect. I went with magnaflow after looking at clips on youtube, it seemed the only one without rasp/pop (even on some cars without cats that were cammed) and was mellow but mean sounding at idle but roared with a muscle car sound under load and when free revved. That it is why I was going to try a Magnaflow catback with the truck because that factory exhaust setup just looks weak to use with headers.

I am afraid of being too loud though; I have no vehicles with any kind of useful back seat except for the Crew Cab now (and I was trying to get an ECRB, ha!) so if I ever have to pick up older family members from the airport or shuttle around relatives when they visit it will have to be in my Silverado.

Up next, 4.11 gears.

I ordered the same setup minus the coating for $1192 from Maryland Speed. They were cheapest I could find for the catted Kooks.
