Default Just got back into a 1500 6.2 and got ?

I started a thread over on GMfullsize.com but people on this forum seem to be more specific on performance knowledge.

Just bought a 08 sierra denali after I sold my built 08 duramax. The D-MAX was fun but damn they cost a lot to fix.

So now for the denali I'm going to get it tuned, headers and maybe a cam in the next year.

1. I pull a 24 ft. wakeboat on the weekend. Its about 7000 pound loaded up. When I get a tune (probably black bear) how much torque management should I remove and should I leave the tow haul mode alone since I pull a boat all the time. I read some people have it set up where it removes all the TM.

2. Getting OBX headers with the high flow cats so it will pass inspection without me having to take it to my buddy to inspect it. He is to far away to do it on a work day. Anybody had any problems with the O2 sensors on the OBX Y pipe?

3. If I get it tuned then throw on a in take pipe later. Like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Airaid-200-9...296bbf&vxp=mtr

or something cheaper if yall know of any thing its just a pipe. Do I need to get it retuned?

4. I'm Going to do a cam at some point for sure. I've read a couple different things about the LS9 cam. Will it hurt me on torque for towing?

5. Will it work well if I get a wild hair one day and supercharge the truck?

Just realized the LS9 cam is not a VVT cam so what cam would you recommend for me and where to look to find it. I'm new to cams so I have no idea.

Does your left front tire rub the front fender liner when turning right when towing your boat? It drives me crazy, right side does not rub when turning left (all stock truck down to paper air filter). Dealership wants me to bring them my truck and boat yet you can clearly see where its starting to rub through the plastic fender liner, next its going to wear a hole in my wind shield washer bottle! btw I am 6500LBs / 600LB tongue weight.

I would skip on the less expensive headers, I prefer ARH, then Kooks, then stock. Cheap headers nope, I'll pass! you get what you pay for here.

I know a bunch of guys running headers with catted ARH & Kooks, non seem to pass (MIL light, not emissions) without disabling the rear O2's.

its best to tune it when its all done/installed, but really do we ever stop modding?

Rhino79 comes to mind for the VVT cams and tuning especially with towing, great guy PM him

I've only had the truck two days so I haven't had time to hook it up to the supra yet. As soon as I pull it to the lake I'll let you know.

I couldn't be happier with my Kooks and Blackbear Tune. I pull a 20ft Champion bass boat with no troubles whatsoever.
