Default intake for nnbs 5.3

what kinna intakes are available for these nnbs trucks that not not require any mods to the front drive accesories like alternator bracket. im sure it has to be something new to accomidate the new 87mm throttle body...some ppl say gmpp, what kind of intake does that stand for???

Not sure of which brands to use or even look for, for these GMT-900s...but GMPP is GM Performance Parts.

I just bought the K&N 63-3058 for my truck and I love it. I can tell a difference in power, gas mileage, and it just sounds really cool. I can't keep my foot out of it. AutoAnything is a sponsor on the right and they have the best deal. Free shipping and I think they have $20 off any purchase right now. I got mine for less than $200. Definitely worth it.

Do you mean an intake manifold or a cold-air intake??

There are plenty of cold air tinakes out there.

But I don't believe ANYONE has come out with an intake manifold that will bolt directly into our trucks without having to change a few things.

I assumed he meant intake manifold. Never heard of having to modify things to get a CAI to fit...unless it wasn't designed for the vehicle it's being installed on.

My bad, I was dumb and didn't read the rest of the post. I just assumed CAI. Good luck though.

Yeah the only thing i have heard of being used on these trucks are the car intakes, But the nnbs trucks have a way different throttlebody and fuel rails.
