Man oh man what a difference but one tiny problem. I did the 6000K diamond white HIDS. When I go to high beam it really screws you due to the funky way the HID's mix with the stock high beams. I do a ton of high beam on time for late at night driving. What kind of options are there. I was thinking about HID highs but my stockers are 55Watt and the HID's are only 35 watt. I want it to be as brite as they are now or way better.

What are some viable options to do here. Hids with standard OEM high not going to do it for me.. Thanks for the help

 

Your stock lows are also 55 watt. Dosnt matter anyways the 35 watt HID lights will be brighter.

 

Just get 6000K stock replacement 55w bulbs.

Also, 35W HID should be brighter than 55W halogen...Check the output of the bulb...wattage is just the power consumption.

 

HID highs will not snap on like a halogen as they take a few seconds to reach full intensity. Not sure if that concerns you.

 

If you will wire up your highs to stay on with your lows and do hids in your highs you will be pleased. I have my lows, highs, and fogs all staying on when i turn on my highs and it is nice and bright. It also depends on what company you go with. Some of the cheaper ones take forever to warm up as some dont take long at all.

 

Thanks for the help. Is there any way to get a halogen that will more closely match the HID's short of trial and error. They are diamond white so they have a very light blue kinda purple hue to them.

 

Thats how they work in stock GMT-900's. The high and low stay on at the same time...no mod necessary like the GMT-800's.

I would just get the same color temp as you have in the HID's
Color temp should be color temp...so if you have 6000K HID, get a 6000K halogen.
