Default How low can you go and keep stock tire?

How low can you go and either keep a stock sized tire on 17's or a stock sized tire on 20's. I know this may sound odd but I want to drop my new truck and do a lot of highway driving and I want to be able to run the Michelin stock ltx/ms2 tire due to ride quality, quietness, and long life. I have a set of denali 17's to start on for now and then plan on doin denali 20's at a not to much later date. I would like to be able to turn lock to lock and not rub or maybe only minimally with some trimming of plastics.

New truck on way 2011 CC 4X4 with a 6.2 yaay

I am at 4/7 and rode on 275/55/20's for many months with minimal rubbing. Front only rubbed when cut all the way and the rear would barely kiss the inner fenders on dips in the road. Nothing you can't live with. Rollin 285/50's now and it rides great with no rubbing at all.

My old truck was an 06 and a 2/4 was sufficient. This new truck is so damm high with so much wheel gap it's like dropping a freightliner so a 4/7 get's it at a nice ride height. I wonder how far down is safe for a 4x or what is offered to get it down correctly and in one kit. Just fishing I haven't looked into it that much yet. I'm assuming the 275/55/20 you had to begin with is a stock sized 20.

Yes the 275 is what came on my 20's. Not sure if you mean 4x4? But I'm not sure you can go 4/7 with a 4 wheel. I believe 2 or 3 in the front is about all you can do... Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
