whats the size of the pipe in the y pipe? If I do 3" duals w/ x pipe it would be nice if I could just cut off the collector.

I would have kept the AR at this time.

I would have kept it even if you still had one, at current time a gun is better investment. I also doubt that headers will fix your fuel mileage. Work on the tune.

Dual 3" is a waste of material and labour in my opinion. It's going to be harder to route under the truck and add a bunch of weight . A single 4" would be the best all around setup. Chew on this: I ran 12.4 and Mike @ New Era ran 11.94 on a stock single 2.5" exhaust.

Ya theres no room with the 3" drop and sway bar to run a pipe in the rear on the drivers side. Should i just go with a 4" diesel cat back? I dont want it to be loud or and drone

The Y-pipe is all 3" pipe.

I've done a couple of trucks this way. Both were catless, both were loud. The AFE had drone, the MBRP "no drone" diesel muffler was quieter and only had a little drone. I think with cats, it would sound great.

But to do a 4" the right way IMO, I have ARH build me a custom y-pipe. I suppose you could buy a 3 to 4" merge pipe to accomplish this, but those are expensive....

Here's a few pics, and an idle vid. This is the MBRP diesel kit, with a catless Y.
