GM Alternator regulated charging control?

It is the black module around the negative battery cable right beside the battery. Unplug the electrical connector and you are good to go.

Doesn't the Check Engine light or some other warning come on when you unplug that?

Nope been unplugged for a month only adverse effect is im not saving .00000007 MPG for the smog ****'s cause my damm alternator is actually doing it's job.
