Default Fuel pump Swap.who has done it?

how many of you guys have done it? i recently bought this Aeromotive 340lph to see if it will get rid of my backfire through the intake...

if you have done this on a 07+ any tips info would help,im sure i can do it if it is a simple swap,,if there aint anything else to it,,but would i be able to still drive it till a retune?if not ill drop it off this week for the install...

Ive done plenty of fuel system upgrades from mild to wild but Im posting mainly because Im wondering why your upgrading your pump at all? Is your truck flex fuel? I think it is and they have pretty damn potent fuel pumps in stock form so...

Im doubting this will have any effect on intake backfiring. Who tuned your truck?

to begin with my truck was already asking for more fuel so we upgraded the injectors a while back, cam is a 231/235 .617/620 ..truck is not flex fuel, when it started backfiring it threw 4 codes,1 lean code,1 rich code....also threw (low fuel pump performance} and fuel pump control module
yes this is Nelson tuned,,and if i cant get the pump in before,i have an appointment thursday for a retune...that day i was going to let em do the install as well.....was just trying to save some labor work if it was just a simple swap...where i just swap pumps and not have to mess with anything else

My truck is a flex fuel but im going turbo here shortly how much can my factory fuel pump handle? I was considering the 340 Aeromotive too just for insurance. I dont plan for but maybe 10lbs of boost and ill be runnning some 57lb injectors. Should I consider this swap or just stay with my factory flex fuel pump? Also ill need to convert to a return style regulator with this pump right?

My factory pump took me to 11psi but I sprayed meth as a suppliment too.
I'm running a dual pump set up via boost reference now. The factory pumps are pretty good. If your truck has a fuel pump control module you'll have to do it a little different to defeat it.
