Front Pinion Bearing Gone AGAIN !!

Default Front Pinion Bearing Gone AGAIN !!

2010 1500 4wd with 80k ......... is this typical for these trucks ? truck not off roaded etc 33" tires 4.11 gears daily driver & towing original pinion went about 50k now its goin again rarely in 4wd although in winter I do leave in auto a lot

Probably not related but what weight and type of oil are you running in it. These trucks come with 80/90 dino oil in the front axle only. Theres a TSB for shift problems in really cold weather due to dino oil and you put 75/90 synthetic back in. Why they didn't put same oil front and rear from the factory is beyond me. No where in the TSB is bearing failure addressed but I did see you live where it's really cold so possibility out there if diff is full of molasses in cold weather.
