Default Finally installed Spindles, going to go another 1"... Alignment Kit needed??

I installed my MCG spindles the other night in my driveway, fairly easy, didnt take too long.. My question is about the allignment with these.. The allignment is terrible right now.. Toe was way off!!! and the camber isnt much better. I want to go down another inch (probably cut the springs). I have always noticed that the drop springs ride like so i didnt want to do that, and have found that if done properly the cut springs shouldnt ride any differently than stock..

Anyways back to my topic..

I wanted to know if those of you with a 3" total drop (MCG spindles and 1" springs preferably) have had to purchase an aftermarket alignment kit. It seems that with the camber as bad off as it is right now going down another inch would surely require a kit..

If you needed a kit name your source and the part number and price if you dont mind..

Thanks in advance

With a 3 inch drop you will not need one. I aligned mine with a 3 inch drop and it was fine, but then I dropped it another inch so my camber is a little off.

Guy at the MCG booth at Sema told me there was a spacer between the spring seat and the spring on the front struts that can be removed for about 3/4 inch more drop.
Haven't had one apart myself but that's may be a better option than cutting the spring.

That spacer is a rubber isolator. I think there would be alot of noise transmitted into the chassis if this were removed.

I think that it will be ok to do the spring trim. If not i will buy a set of springs they are cheap enough..

It is good to hear that i will not have to have an alignment kit. Perhaps the local tire barn will be able to align it properly for me..

One final ?.. I purchased a set of escalade 22" wheels with tires from a gentleman for 250$ the chrome was peeling really terribly, i have had them chemically stripped to the nickle and then media blasted to remove all the nickle and i am now painting them a charcoal color and installing smooth caps. Question is is do i need to have the 22" wheels on there when i have the allignment done? Will they effect the adjustments at all?

Sitting at 3.5 inches in the front and shackles and no block in the rear, Have the towing package and plan to take the drop shackles off.. replace with my stock shackles and remove the bump stops and then flip to the top of the spring pack. I have a set of weld on perches so i can set my angle where i want it..

Any suggestions on the pinion angle??

One other question. anyone know the torque specs on the front suspension parts.. I like to go with the "know its tight because the torque wrench beeped and said its tight" rather than "pretty sure its tight" if you know what i mean..

I need lower and upper balljoint torque, wheel bearing to spindle torque, tie rod end torque and strut mount torque..

Thanks in advance..

In the background you can see the mini and the meano.. by the way it had just begun to rain for the first time in about a month here when i snapped this pic..

I had my truck 2/4, 3/5 with out alignment issues but when I went 5/7 i needed the camber kit. So yea if you go any lower i would get the kit.
