Default Factory tranny temp gauge

Has anyone installed an aftermarket transmission temp gauge and compared it to the factory one?

Just curious how accurate the factory gauge is.

Thanks

i just assumed that since nobody complained about it being inaccurate that it was correct or very close.

Im sure its good. Its not like the oil pressure or coolant temps gauges arent accurate so why wouldnt the trans temp be spot on too? It sure is nice to have when towing though

I havent noticed that but then again I havent logged much coolant data. I should just log damn near everything and take a look see.

Ok,thanks for all the info. It usually shows around 165º-175º and that's fully warmed up on a 90º+ day.
