you can get a good shaft for like 400 -600 < no need 2 spend 1k... get a Steel shaft . . the carbon are only good for high torque apllications, but not recomended for high speeds' thought. . and prob double the price '

The longer the driveshaft, the more likely you will have issues with resonance, the more sensitive the driveshaft will be to imbalance, the more critical it is to get it right. With so many potential issues arising from an 83" driveshaft, you will definitely want to consider a 2-piece.

Ok I measured again. The shaft is 79 1/2" long. From end of shaft to center of ujoint hole is 1 1/2" on each end making the total length 82 1/2". From the front of the shaft end going toward the rear of the truck I have a crossmember at 16" from the front of the shaft end. So do I need a 2 piece steel shaft or aluminum.
