driveshaft problems on nnbs

driveshaft problems on nnbs
hey guys, ive read around on here and it seems a few guys are having problems with there drive shaft twisting and shredding once past 100 or so, i see it mainly on 4 doors but a few on single cabs, i'll be getting a single cab and just wondering if theres a solution for the single cab nnbs trucks for this to not happen? thanks

haha my bad man, but my buddy (jg53) and my brother both have 4 doors with mods and theres vibrate once reaching 100 plus.. and ive read about a white single cab on here that has had driveshaft problems also.. just trying to get info on a reliable way to go

That mechanic is right, they are not meant to go over 100mph. Any higher than that is all luck. These are bottom of the bin aluminum driveshafts; they can be bandaided with a good balance, but they'll never be a quality piece. You won't see as many issues with a RCSB driveshaft since its shorter, but you're still at the mercy of a part that is primarily designed with cost effectiveness in mind.

Yeah your right their not rated for speeds over 100. I drive a nnbs single cab and i have had this issue twice over speeds of a 100 first one snaped in half the second twisted and snaped as well, messed up my differencial. Finally decided to replace the aluminum driveshaft to a steel been holding up good since over speeds of 120.
