Denali/Esky, which have 14b axle?

To my knowledge all of them from 07 and up. Anything that came with a 6.2 engine/6l80 trans combo was backed by a 14bolt semi float.
Being awd you might not NEED it, but it sure is a nice peace of mind. When my NNBS 5.3 silvy's rear gears started making noise I went ahead and did the 14 bolt swap so I could cross it off the list of "things I'll need to upgrade later".

My 02 Yukon got totaled and I'm waiting on the insurance of the person that hit me to get a $$ idea and find replacement options. Stout rear end and transmission are high on the list of wants.

If they still got the G80 limited slip in there, it's still kind of weak because that will be the first thing to go.
You can make a 10 bolt hold tons of power too, swap in a better unit than the G80 and all is well.

You're right, nothing wrong with 10bolts once they're built. I've seen one on an high speed off road truck with 37" tire's live for thousands of brutal dirt miles before DNF'ing. IMO there's less to worry about from the get go with the 14 bolt. If all I have to replace is the g80 for a true trac down the road I'm fine with that.
Sorry for derailing the thread op. Anything with a 6.2/6l80 combo will have the rear axle you're looking for.

Agreed on the g80. I'll be going trutrac with thick sways like my current Yukon. I've surprised a few stock 3 series BMW in the turns. They almost lost it. Wait, now I'm off topic! 😉
Good points made.
Now to read up on 6l80e! I did a 4l80e rebuild. Looking forward to a new challenge.

The G80 in the 14 bolt is not a bad unit like its smaller brother in the 10 bolt.
Something more performance oriented would be much better obviously, But it doesn't mean you need to chuck it out right away.
