I'm wondering I just got a 13 Silverado with a 5.3 what is the engine designation in this truck. I wanted a 6.2 but would have had to order it. I have a 6.2 in my 10 Camaro it's a L99 would the truck engine be the same or a different designation.

Either LMG or LC9 depending on iron block or aluminium

And the 6.2 in the trucks is an L9H:

Displacement: 6162cc
Compression Ratio: 10.4:1
Assembly Site: Romulus, Michigan
Configuration: Overhead Valve (2 valves per cylinder).
Horsepower: 403 @ 5700 rpm
Torque: 417 lb-ft @ 4300 rpm
Applications: Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra
Features: E85 Capable

Displacement: 6162cc (376ci)
Compression Ratio: 10.4:1
Assembly Site: St. Catharines, Ontario
Configuration: Overhead valve (2 valves per cylinder)
Horsepower: 400 @ 5900 rpm (Chevrolet Camaro w/ automatic)
Torque: 410 lb-ft @ 4300 rpm (Chevrolet Camaro w/ automatic)
Features: Active Fuel Management

not that it matters, but the fifth letter in on your vin is the where the engine is made. my 2010 sierra denali is a "k" which is st. catharines, ontario!

sorry, forgot to add, truck and car 6.2's are not the same!!!
