Cant get 22's balanced, any ideas?
I have a set of Helo 866 chrome aluminum rims and I bought them online from a place in Cali. They had the TPMS and were 'balanced' from the store, I put them on and it was HORRIBLE unbalanced. Took to a local shop and they couldn't balance them with standard weights to they ball balanced them, which I never heard of where they put on the balancer and find the weight needed and then remove the tire and put a ball or ***** in them and they go to the spot where they need to be.
Well when you change speed the steering wheel shakes, the truck shakes most of the time. At cruise it will level out and be ok but its annoying as heck.
What do you guys do for balancing the 22's? I just hope one is not bent.
Thanks!

MAke sure when they balance them the weights are in the middle of the wheel.
I hahd them balanced when i first put 22's on and the weights were on the outside and my steering wheel would shake at higher speeds.
I went to ntb and discount to get them re balanced from what in understand
there are two different balances, low speed and dynamic
once I had them Dynamically balanced they drive great!
They should be able to tell if they are bent when they balance the wheel.

You could also try some dyna beads. I've personally never seen a tire that these didn't balance. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/tirechartmap.htm

There is Dynamic and Static balancing.
Static - Weights are only put in one spot of the inner face or only the inside lip.
Dynamic - Weights in two different places on the inner face. Weights hit on the inside and outside lip. Weights taped on the inner face and one also hit on the inside lip.
Dynamic is the way to go. Some people just do not know how to balance a wheel/tire.

depending on how wide the wheel is dynamic makes them ride worse. being 22's Im gonna assume they're 9-10" wide. Judging off of a quick google image Im gonna tell you static balance is gonna be the way to make em ride right.
Also take the balance beads out of there, those are assinine and are the same as if you have fix a flat in your tire.
My pewter '00 I struggled my *** off trying to balance them since they are lugcentric wheels instead of hubcentric. Also check that on your truck, they could also need hubrings.
