i run a cone filter to 4" piping. pretty simple, but no need for a box and my truck doesnt suffer at all

I'm with keniff k&n cone filter 4in pipe although I do want to wrap the pipe to avoid heat.

ken, i more or less tried to make my own intake tube.

i didnt make an intake tube, i just used 4" aluminum tubing with some spectra 4" couplings
consists of :
90* 4" coupling to 4" aluminum tubing into the MAF (2 couplings) into a 90* 4" aluminum tubing into a 4" coupling into a 4" exhaust pipe with a cone filter

Don't forget that the MAF in the NNBS changes after 09 into a Ford two screw type instead of the flow through type.
