Alright, give me one post to feed my curiosity. Where are you from, and do you have a G-Body car? I'm sure you're not located in GA, but we have big G-Body races about 100 miles North of where I am, every 2 months or so.

I would go with the Airaid Mit, a drop in filter, and mod the stock airbox. I have an 09+ also, 2 bolt MAF, so I went with the airaid jr kit (Part # 201-796). I had the K&N intake before, and after installing the airaid jr kit, it actually felt smoother, cant really explain it.

Yes, car is in my sig. I have so far, a rebuildable TH400 (free), a LS1 long block that's only good for the block (350) a set of LS7 lifters, LS2 rocker arms and 317 heads (200) The car used to have an Olds 350 that was fairly stout in it's own right. I originally had a 6.0L iron block that had 20k miles on it that I had bought for a whopping $50 and make it into a 408. I sold it for $250 and was gonna use that to drop in a running 1982 BBC 454 that i would have only paid $285. That deal fell through so now I am where I am today....lol. I've never weighed my car before with the iron Olds engine in it and have always been kinda curious as to what my car woulda weighed and what it will weigh when done. Goals are single 76mm and 9's on pump gas. Shouldn't be too hard with 383 cubes and a good spooling hair dryer.

Awesome to hear. I know of lots of budget built G-Body cars, and most of them run fairly well for what they are. I see you're in Texas....unfortunately, most every owner of a badass car that I talk to ends up being from TX.
