Y pipe will need to be modified. The o2 bung won't work on the drivers side due to the front DS.

Also nearly impossible to get the Y to slip on with the headers on. I've shown pictures of this in other threads. Less than 1" of clearance from the crossmember.

no such thing as a dumb question..trust me i ask them all the time..lol

i personaly wouldnt expect much of a gain for just a CAI tube but it wouldnt hurt...in my oppion if on average your gonna see between 12 to 20hp..depending on the full CAI KIT. now if u put on a tube and a drop in filter and cut the sides and bottom out of the factor air box..i would think u could get 10hp total so probly 5 from just the tube...the factory tube has all kinds of silencers boxs attacted to it that have to disrupt the air flow and slow it down....smooth is fast..and fast air makes power...also alot of people just put on a cone filter and think boxs are stupid because u might get less CFM of air flow...i dont agree with that...u might not flow as much..but it will be cooler..and from my experince with my supercharged truck...cooler air is just as important as volume.

heres the factor tube...i think its pretty obvious to see it was desided to keep it quiet

I think the MIT is worth at least 5hp at the wheels without a tune. Somebody here dynoed before and after to check. I can't recall who.

I have always ran K&N on all of my trucks. I'm considering trying the S&B on my new bone stock Sierra Denali.

I'm still pleased with my S&B system after about 9 months. I have the paper filter and need to replace it however. I'll probably get the oiled gauze filter this time around. Very clean looking install though. If I ever go with any sort of forced induction on this truck I'll be using the S&B box for sure.
