Default best CAI for a 08 denali ?

well i picked up a 08 denali awd last week..and im ready for some modding already..lol already got a corsa sport exaust..im just having a hard time desiding on a CAI..ive always run Volant on my supercharged SS..and other trucks... but after doin alil reading it seems the Volant seem to havin some issues on the 6.2s...also is there really a diff between the 08s and 09s ive noticed some people listing them for 09+ and thought that was add..i didnt think there was any diff between the 07 to 11s as far as drivetrain or performance.

Sweet man welcome to the Denali club. I called Airaid and they didn't list one for our trucks nor were they able to answer why they didnt. I considered the Vararam but looks cheap and I doubt it produced what they claim. I've never used Volant. I ordered a K&N kit this morning. 57-3058. I have a Magnaflow muffler in the garage I'll probably use. I plan on removing all the silencers and just do straight pipe to the muffler and probably either before rear tire or behind it for a stock look.

Spectre. Cheap as ****.

A cold air is a cold air. You aren't going to notice much of a difference from any of them.

+1 The stock air box is actually pretty good all you need to do is replace the tube to the TB. Get a couple rubber connectors and some 4" PVC pipe and make your own. Did this last time I was home and was a noticeable difference

Would you please post some pictures of how you did yours? I plan on keeping the stock airbox and it has a drop in K&N right now. I've just been looking for a good intermediate tube. The new MAF setup is hard to work around. If you've found a way around it, I'd love to see it.

hmmm intersting...so the stock box is pretty good?..only problem is i hate the way stock stuff looks..soooo maybe il get the tig welder and plasma out..the pipe should be pretty easy..and just fab up a custom box out of some alum..since the volants seem to be like 400ish and the others dont seem to make anything for the 6.2 that look good

It's under the hood. Do you drive around with the hood up? No one sees under there except for you. Build for function.
