good point,
dod or not, it would have the same computer and it would be disabled.
can't see then putting in the different lifters if they aren't being used but you never know.

 

on my denali.. i had the vvt.. disabled it by changing , cam gear , sprocket etc... changed the lifters as well.. i never saw a 6.2 with a dod..

 

Funny....my 2010 Silverado does not have it

i'm having mixed feelings.... they either noticed alot of them having the lifter failure so they did it RIGHT and put matching lifters all the way through.

OR, they for some reason just turned it off via tune and have been using the same longblocks as the 07-08 L92's.

the first option seems like it would have been the smarter thing for gm to do but then again it is more cost on r&d and it was a change they made when they were in the middle of a financial crisis so who knows

 

i do beleive that txtootall has done a cam swap on a 2010 DOD silverado.

 

The build sheet on a 2010 silverado 6.2 specifically says Non AFM in Canada anyways.
