Default Any Drone after removing the Resonator with the 6.2L

I just got a Borla Sportsman XR-1 15" round 3.5" in/out wielded up and it sounds pretty good, but I kinda want it a little bit louder, so I thought about removing the resonator and putting a 3.5 piece of pipe in its place. I'm just wondering if it's going to change the tone enough in a good way to worry about removing the resonator or if it's going cause a lot of drone? Anyone have have a reccomendation?

If I was gonna do that I'd put the straight pipe in with clamps so I could change my mind easy if it sounds awful. Drone is the biggest thing a resonator is there to kill, and they don't add much restriction so no performance loss. IMHO

With stock cats and manifolds, it shouldnt be really that raspy, but if you ever decide to switch to LT's, it will be.

Shoulda added that to my post. If you're going to do headers keep it. I had just a stock 6.2 muffler which is a lot better at controlling rasp than that borla and it had a lot of rasp with catless lts.

Yeah I've got a 6 year Bumber-to-bumper warranty so I'll most likely be keeping the stock headers for awhile I've only got 5500miles on it and my drive to work is across the street lol The XR-1 and the resonator have a nice deep rumble. I just wanted it louder without dumping it and crazy drone.

It wil get louder over time, my magnaflow was quiet as hell at first then about 2000 miles later it's got a really nice rumble. I have LT's, cats and the resonator still!

I took it off. Mods below and it exits before the rear tire. Love it!

Is that just the Cherry Bomb extreme 3.5" in/out 10" case? I thought about putting one on my 6.2l. I had one on my old 04 5.3l and it Sound good.
