6.2 exhaust ideas bored w current setu

I put the replacement Flo-Pro muffler on mine but I have headers and it sounds good but think you will get bored of it too as its not too much louder then stock as its just supposed to flow more.

those are definitely 2 different extremes, I think the tru duals with bullets will probably drone like crazy.
Side note, if any of you Texas guys want to get rid of your factory 6.2 mufflers or catback LMK.

Nothing sounds more badass than 2 chamber flowmasters but DRONE.... ouchy. Spintech sound mean although I have no experience personally. I really like the Hooker Aerochamber. They flow well, sound killer, and no drone. Ive run them on a few set ups now. Great every time

Oh decision's decisions.
Whats take on splitting the 3.5 with say a really nice 3.5 to dual 2.5 Y like what vibrant performance right then dual 2.5 bullets or 2.5 magnapacks and twin tailpipes put out under the quarters?

Not a 6.2L, but on a 5.3L, I cut the Y, ran 2 pipes back to a Cherrybomb Vortex 2 in/2out muffler, then ran 2 pipes out the back beside each other under the bumper. Stock cats and manifolds. It sounded good, had solid bottom end power (which I lost with the previous exhaust), didn't drone.
I got constant compliments on both the sound and the uniqueness of bringing them out the back together on the one side.
I know Cherrybomb isn't the preferred muffler on this site, but they have a good growl to them. The vortex is a bit of a combination design.

Normally I'd go duals with a xpipe and call it a day but the way the Y-pipe is designed on the 6.2 looks like a complete M$%&#$ B&^%$# to be able to cut it and then get pipes bent in and fit to the oe downpipes after the cats at some point.
Anyone here done true duals on a 6.2 and have some pics they can post of pipe routing around the bell housing and trans crossmember area.

Could be different, but I didn't cut that far up. I cut just the Y portion off at the end and went from there. Sure the pipe's weren't equal lengths, but I wasn't running a modified engine either.

First mod i did on the truck when it had less than 2 miles on the odometer was magnaflow muffler on stock tailpipe with the oe gm performance tip and knocked out the 3rd cat 3 years later ready to change things up. My wife made a comment asking bout the single donkey dong tailpipe and it set the gears into motion
The magnaflow is better than stock but just too quiet i want something rowdier but not messing w manifolds or cats. Thinking bout somehow splitting the 3.5 by the rear exh flange with a y pipe into dual 2.5 pipes and goin to magnaflow 2.5 inch round mufflers and using one for each tailpipe section and dropping one pipe under each rear quarter at a discreet down angle to hide the exit location. Anyone care to volunteer thoughts on how this may sound. I want it about 20 percent louder than the current setup but really wwant to avoid a system that drones its *** off

On a separate note, you can look on Kinney's Mufflers website you can see a number of videos with sounds and how the systems are configured and installed.
