6.2 cam help

I love how the ls9 cam wakes up the truck above 3500, but its a turd below that. I chose it mainly becuase 1) it sounded stock at idle, 2) it is a "mild" cam for my dd, and 3) it was cheap. Do you have a suggestion for a better cam that meets at least the first two criteria?

drop the exhaust duration a bit, and bring the lsa down to the teens instead of a 122.5.

ls9 = 211/230 @ 122.5. that gives me an overlap of -24.5 degrees.

if i follow your suggestion and change to say 211/226 @ 116, that would give me an overlap of -13.5 degrees.

don't you think that would give me a much more noticeable chop at idle? what is the threshold of overlap at which lopey idle is noticable?

the lsa would bring the torque back in sooner
