Yeah my custom tune from DS has made a world of difference. people bag on me for it cuz it's downloaded on a tuner but it's custom made from my data logs. Plus i can remove it quickly and have a better chance of getting away with warranty work.

4.10s are not that bad really, I have them in a 2010 5.3 CC with 6L80, if I remember right it is about 2015 rpms at 70 mph, and it adds a crap load of torque even with a 5.3, I can only imagine how much of a beast it would make the 6.2 feel like.
If you are concerned about gas mileage I would definitely just move up to the 3.73s, but then again may take a look at some 3.90s.

Your handheld tune is absolutely no different than anyone who ahs HPT or EFI as far as warranty work is concerned. Any of them are going to up the flash count on the PCM every time you flash it and you will get tagged byt he dealer just like the custom tuners will if there is reason for them to dig into your pcm so dont let the fact that your tuner is handheld give you a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Aw come on,.. i like my warm fuzzy feelings. lol hell I dunno I also like being able to adjust tire sizes and detune it when the old lady takes it. She thinks she is Dale Earnhardt sometimes plus she only has 1 arm so when it gets squirlly it scares me how she reacts.

And I definitely want a tune; maybe some intake and exhaust mods along with the tune, for maximum satisfaction. I just have to put some more miles on her and find the right tuner within a reasonable distance; anybody really good between Phoenix and San Diego, or really close to either city?

Gas mileage isn't a problem for me. And I really don't need to be driving 140mph. As long as I can make a 1320 im fine. My problem is if I go with 3.73's Im going to wish I went with 4.10's. I do know i need to run tail pipes on my truck. A dumped aerochamber is already loud with a 3.42.
