Default 4.10's in max trailering sierra cc

I was looking into putting some gears in my truck but have only seen the 10bolt..

I was told my truck has the 14 bolt HD rearend.

Has anyone put theses gears in a truck like mine? I can only imagine the pulling power this would add to such a strong truck!

Any info would be great!

I would say that unless you are planning to run a bigger tire i would shy away from the 4.10s ...

With a 6L80 and 4.10 first gear would be useless..

If you have a 14bolt you may already have 3.73 .if so going to 4.10 wont be much of a change withthe 6l80 ...........but if you have 3.42 yes 4.10 would be a great upgrade for towing 5000lb plus I ran 3.90 and wish I had gone
4.10 that allows you to run taller tire at some point too

if it's a max trailer package it should have a 14bolt and 3.73's.

Does it have rear disc brakes?

It does have the rear disc's However since it's a Texas Edition it added other options one of which was a 3.42 gear.

So you opted down to a 3.42 from a 3.73???

The rear disks are a part of the NHT towing package.. So are the 3.73s.. should have stayed with those and you wouldnt have to change two sets of gears....

I didn't have the option for 3.73's the Texas Edition truck only came with 3.42's And i wouldn't have got the texas edition however it had alot more rebates which took thousands off sticker price.

I tried to enter the Max Trailer Package with the Texas Addition and it will not let you enter both. Therefore I believe that you have the 6.2 without the Max Trailer package.

I know it does. It's on my sticker and the hook up with trailer brakes as well as a built in trailer brake.
