Go 4.11s and be done with it, stronger than 4.10s and basically same gear ratio.

Did 08Chevy say something?

Default 373 vs 410 gears

I have an '05 Z-71 crew cab with 6" lift on with 33" tires. It currently has a 3.42 gear in it, which seemed underpowered even before the lift. In the last several months, I have been getting a loud sqeaking noise from the front differential, so... if I am going to have to have it rebuilt, I am thinking about going with either a 3.73 or 4.10 gear. I understand that I will have to do both the front and rear. My question is, as this is a daily driver, mostly highway, how much of a difference in gas mileage am I going to see, better or even worse? When I put the lift on it with the larger tires, it obviously hurt the MPG and also the power, just wondering which gear will be best.

With 33" I'd go 4.10s at least. Maybe 4.56s would be better. Mpg shouldn't suffer much.

I have 4.56s and 33" thats the perfect match IMO i do turn some higher RPMs but LS motors like to rev. I turn 2500 at 70 and 3100 at about 90
