Default 2012 Silverado - my new Daily

Well finally agreed to terms late last night. I've got a loaner for the day while my new truck is being dealer traded as I type this.

Didn't get the 6.2 I was hoping for, just couldn't get there and the 2011 models were scarce.

I'm picking up my 2012 Silverado 1500 ECSB - 2wd Z71 this evening. 5.3 liter obviously, Victory Red with the Appearance Package so its already color matched for me, one less thing to do.

I will post pics tomorrow as it will be dark by the time I drive out.

Congrats! You can still make the 5.3s run. Hopefully I will be trading for a 2012 soon also.

Congrats! I just looked at the '12s at the Portland Auto Show yesterday and that color match appearance package thing is sweet. Enjoy!

Javi, yeah the 2012 painted to match grilles are badass indeed. Got the LTZ style grill. I was looking at a 2011 just like it, but they distance was too far for them to dealer trade.

Couldn't you get the color matched fronts in previous years with the "Z71 Appearance Package"? It is definitely the way to go IMO because I don't care for chrome.

I think they've had the appearance pkg. for a few years, you just don't see that many of them. But for 2012 they did change the grill for sure. The rest should be the same as far as I know.

Good to hear it worked out! The 5.3 isn't all that bad. I'm happy with mine for what it is and I saved $8k vs the 6.2 they had... I can go along way with 8 grand.
