The price of the 6.2 is easily justified once you account for the standard 14-bolt rear, rear disc brakes, upgraded cooling system, and the availability of factory 3.73 gearing (if you choose). I would have paid the extra $1500 just for those options and no man motor if it wasn't available. So basically I got the man motor for free! No regrets here.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Dune Grapplers unacceptable wet road behavior. I am thoroughly impressed with Duratracs, honestly, and would go with BFG ATs or Hankook AT/Ms if I didn't have that option.

I would have loved to get a 6.2 liter, in fact looked for them. At the time was looking at the 2011 models and they were scarce in the package I wanted. Just didn't work out. That being said I am very pleased with my 2012.
Took it on its first real road trip yesterday to my parents place in the Texas Hill country. About a 275 total round trip drive. The trip up I was averaging 20.2 mpg @ 70 mph pretty much the whole way up, until about 20 miles from their place and really got into the hill country, and kicked up to 75mph it dropped to about 19.5 mpg. The way home went thru town and made several stops at Gander Mountain and Bass Pro. Still overall round trip I averaged 19.4 mpg. Not that I'm all that worried about gas mileage, but that really surpassed my expectations. Truck is finally broke in, so I think a new Tune is almost in order. Will have to go visit Wheatley soon.

Lisa,
I have the Airaid MIT and drop in filter and my exhaust system already. I've been bebating the 90 mm TB, but think I'm going to wait for a while. The only other performance mod I'm considering anytime soon is an underdrive pulley.
