Hey Patrick, that USMC lettering on the tailgate is Outs-freakin-tanding! I've got a new truck on order and was thinking of stealing your idea but with USAF - hope you don't mind.

Naw bro, by all means go for it & shoot me some pics when its done! I almost put a TX on the other side but felt it would be to cluttered so I didn't. I had the dealership do it with the lettering from all they're models of vehicles & paint it to match the front Bow Tie bit I think it will eventually all end up BLACK. What color Truck & lettering are you gonna do. I'd say do the Letters WHITE for Air Force . Anyways I'm sure it will look killer.

10-4! My truck is going to be Sheer Silver Metallic - and I'm saying "going to be" because it's scheduled to build next week. If I can find the right letters to do the USAF thing I'm thinking dark blue (also called Air Force Blue). I've got a few other ideas too, and I'll definitely post some pix.

Hmmm ... come to think of it the front bow tie would look nice in dark blue to match the lettering. Thanks for the ideas!

 

Called Champion Chevrolet this morning. $4,500 for a new LY6. What do yall think. I could almost get Flacos Turbo kit for that. I dunno about the 6.0 anymore, didn't realize how much a new one ran. I guess maybe I might stick with the 5.3 for now & mod it out. I dunno, still haven't decided, what yall think?

$20 says you cant order a 6.2 in a reg cab 1/2 ton from the factory

 

+1 on that ive tried several times to get a 6.2 in a rcsb and its not even an option at dealers biggest you can get is 5.3
so if you can get one let us see an order sheet, until then i call BS

 

same here.. i tried to get a 6.2 **** even a 6.0 and nothing

 

Never underestimate a 5.3.
