2011.... 4 months Old 8000 miles blown trans ... :(

Default 2011.... 4 months Old 8000 miles blown trans ... :(

Just lost 2nd and 3rd and 4th in my trans RIP 4l60e I didn't know the 4.8 had it in her to do that .. Damn this sucks .. I'm pulled over on the freeway to cool it down to try and milk it home

2011 has the 4l60e? Thought 07 and up had the 6 speed.

Still sucks man. sorry to hear

4.3 v6 and 4.8 v8's still have the 4l60e.

Ah, that was my hunch but wasn't positive. Thanks for clearing that up.


At least it's under warranty still, hopefully the dealership treats you right

Ya you won't get a free warranty repair? Was it stock or you do some mods to it?

Its full bolt on. And cam . He said if they don't detect a trans altering tune it should be fine ... But I don't see a reason to put something I'm gonna blow up just as easily again ... Out of all the gears I wonder why 3rd went first....

doubt they r gna warranty it with the cam. if you didnt have the cam id say u were good. who did u take it too?? lone star?

Ya cam might make it tough. Talk to the tranny guy, sometimes they are really cool and will help you out. I had a tranny go out a few times in my old 02 and the guy knew I did modifications to shift points and everything else and still hooked me up.
