i raced my buddies stock tundra 5.7 (wat they call Xtended cab) in a bone stock denali 6.2 off the show room floor and i tokk the tundra by a full car to 100, so ya the 6.2 is faster

Not to be repetitive, these things rock.
Tune only is the key.
That would be great!

I should also say that the videos of the 5.3 w/ 6speed tranny are stock as well. So I dont' think it's fair to say they're "slow". It's just disappointing that they choke up such good engines. I'd take a truck with only 30k miles of warranty vs. 100k if it came tuned for max performance and a small break on the price.

Yea im happy with mine too. 14.11@100.9mph with just a muffler and basic tune on 22's. Maybe go back to the big bad yota you used to have

Was it from a dig? Did both of you have the "traction controlls" off. I know it's called the VSE in the tundra, that makes a big difference. I know in the latest truck shootout the Chevy Max w/ the 6.2 made it to 60 mph about a tenth of a second faster than the tundra so they are close.

I guess I need to drive a 6.2. I never have for two reasons first they only came in the Denali and that's just too fancy for me. Secondly you have to run premium fuel for max performance, I'm a tight-wad cheapo and that doesn't fit into my budget.

Sorry for the hijack but this is a question that's bothered me for a long time. I appreciate the info.

the same stuff for tuning applies to a 5.3
more so for 6.2

Maybe I got a lemon or something......

Truck is a 2010 Crew with 6.2 ordered it with 3.73 gears and of course its an A6.
That is really funny and just not possible.
