I need a lil help .. I need a 2010 5.3 owner to look at their cam sensor which is front the engine near the crank pulley .. U will have to view from underneath ... See if you have a 5 wire plug thats connected there to the bracket and wire extension leading to the cam sensor .. If you have this
5 wire connector i need to know if you have a second commector on top the crank pulley area ... There shud be some 2010 that dont have this because you have the three wire conmection to the sensor like my 08 does .. Im interested in the 5 wire connector .. Im trying to see if anyone has the 5 wire connector and doesnt have the extra plug on top ... I will post pics of what it looks like on my next post ... Im runnin a 2010 ECM with the trans i swapped which is a newer 2010(by mistake) And the ECM isnt picking up the sensor ... Ive purchased a new ECM
Just to verify that is good and its been flashed and is good .. I dont have the 5 wire comnector on my 08 and im tryin to see if i can get a 2010 harness with the 5 wire connector and not have the second plug on too of the crank pulley .. May not be possible but im trying to see if anyone can look at theirs or
Possibly check one on their lot .. I kno sum guys on here work at dealerships and what not and may be able to check this out for me... Thanks for any input

The actual sensors are the same but the older 2010s have just a 3wire
Commector like the 08-09s do and the newer 2010s have 5 wire ... And like i said im trying find put of there is a variation that has the 5 wire conmector and not the extra plug in on the timing cover so i can get my 2010 ecm to read the sensor again

I found out if you have the 5 wire connector you need that second plug on the timing cover .. Its a second pick up or something like that for VVT and thats why im having these cam sensor issues and im not going do a timing cover and cam swap in this 5.3 to get it straight either .... If its the three wire then its same operating system as my old ecm(older one that i was originally thinking the 6L80E had)like My stock ecm and it wont run my current trans... Ive concluded im done trying to get the ecm to read the sensors since i have 180k plus miles on my 5.3 with DOD im going ahead and get the 6.2 i wanted to swap anyway along with the harness for it ... Wont need to worry bout the sensors for the 5.3 After that lol will just flash 6.2 6spd vin for the 2010 operating system my ecm And tcm is running now ... Thanks for trying to help ... I will start new thread when i get funds for My 6.2 ... Shud be ready after the new year .. Thats the plan anyway .. Maybe a cam And 3k stall when doing the swap
