Default 2009 Silverado lock ?

So I have a 09 Silverado z71 and a couple months ago the passenger side door lock has started acting weird sometimes it would work and sometimes it wont its off and on. What could be the problem the lock solenoid? and how much of a task is it to swap that out. Thanks, ricky

Door lock actuator. If u can take the door panel off, u can replace it.

if you catch it at a time its not working its easier to test and narrow down to the actuator
but 9/10 times it is that so you can more then likely replace the actuator without worries!

lots of info here, looks to be very common and you can use a cheap actuator

Autot3k- it was under body exterior door lock actuator. But I think that part number is for the drivers door so I ordered one off ebay for $80.

I swapped out that canister in front of the fuel tank and that tube that runs over the trans. I ran it up under the hood by the brake booster so hopefully that's a permanent fix. That cel has been on for over a year now it feels weird to not see it there anymore lol
