I didn't try swapping them. I only took one wheel/tire off at a time, so I know I didn't cross them. It's possible that someone swapped them in the past but I don't think so.

 

Did you ever figure out the oil issue ?

 

If there are any "permanent" codes it will not remote start either.

 

As far as the cruise control issue goes, there is a known problem with the brake light switches in this generation of trucks and SUVs. A simple, cheap switch normally solves the problems with the erratic cruise control.
