Hey folks.. A little update...
It is coming around... Cruising around average 15.5 mpg overall. I am still tweaking the tune here and there. But, overall it's a freaking beast! I love driving it.. lol
I gave it a bit more timing in the lower rpm. I didn't get to aggressive but seems to really "get with it"... and drives better than stock now. I am not seeing any negative issues with the cam at all.

I lost ~1mpg when I put my ls9 cam in. Some of the mpg loss your expierancing could be from the higher stall... The higher slip will hurt your milage when it's not locked... And I agree on the ls9 cam... When I put it in my truck, I also switched to a 3 inch pulley on my tvs1900. Between the pulley and cam upgrade, it made as much difference as putting the supercharger on.
