Default 2008 5.3 Drive Shaft Vibration!!!

I have a 2008 Silverado with long tubes, cam, and a cold air kit and a tune. I was heading to the car show with my buds and i was rolling about 95 when i heard a noise and felt a bit of a vibration in the steering wheel. It felt like my tires up front, so i went to get them balanced but it still did it at 95. I called 3 high performance shops here in Houston and they told me it was my drive shaft.
They told me the walls on the drive shaft tube were weak and thin. They told me to get a steel one piece drive shaft. Im not sure what to do......
i guess i have to buy a new drive shaft.

Um yeah, factory driveshafts are know to explode at speeds above 100mph. So you are right on the fine line of going boom. It's why they have the speed limiter at 99mph from the factory.

Buy new driveshaft, have less worries.

Thanks. There are several custom drive shaft shops around. They say they have thicker walled tubes on their drive shafts. Im not sure if i should go with steel or aluminum again?

Aluminum can be better if its done right. Steel is cheaper to have a good one that will work for your needs.
