They are way too heavy to make fast without spending a fortune, so most do the drop/stereo/22.5s/etc.

A good PD supercharger with a pulley swap and a custom tune, longtubes, etc, would make that truck feel a whole lot lighter & be fun to drive too. May not be a "race truck", but it could hold its own.

Good points all. I decided to go to the dealership and test drive a few HD's. Don't know why the Denali 2500 comes with a 6.0 instead of a 6.2, but drove it anyway and wow...sloth like is the first thing that comes to mind. Nicely appointed though.
For ***** and giggles I drove the Denali 3500 with the Duramax and wow, that thing was quick. Seat of the pants feel reminds me of an awd 1500 Denali, nice indeed.
The 3500 I posted in the pics above is nice and clean but by the time you add a decent turbocharger or screw type SC you could have bought a decent Duramax equipped 3500HD.
