I have a 2004 yukon SLE 4x4 and am thinking of selling it and upgrading...I am buying used and was wondering what the differences were from year to year and if there is anything to avoid/look for.

I am curious is the 2007 yukon/tahoe would basically be the same as the 2010/2011 model so should I go 2007/2008 and save money....? I dont mind a few more miles...

 

The '09 and newer will have the 6L80E, I think that is biggest difference.

 

if you look high and low i think the year is 09 but some ltz had the 6.2

 

But only Yukons and they're all AWD. If they offered a 4x4 Tahoe or Yukon with the 6.2 I may have considered it.

if they had made or still made a 6.2 Z71 4x4 tahoe with cloth interior i would have been in trouble

IIRC in either 2009 or 2010 you could get an Avalanche with the 6.2 as well.
