Default 11' GMC CC Leather Seat complaint!!

I have been very happy with my new truck since it's purchase. I had the dealer leave all of the plastic on the seats and noticed something that really pisses me off for a truck that stickers at a notch over 40K.

It's a SLT GMC top of the friggin line and the front seats are the only ones that are leather. The rear seats are a very high quality Vinyl but are not leather. There is a tag attached to the plastic that is on the seats when they are assembled. On the front seats it says Seating Surface: Leather, on the rear it says Seating Surface: Vinyl. You can feel a difference by touching the seats front to rear even though they look the same. They also have a different feel when you sit in them compared to the fronts.

This may be nothing worth griping about but damm when you pay this much for a truck WTF are they doing cutting corners on the leather. If I wanted vinyl I would have ordered a damm work truck. Guess I'll let the seats get wore in the front and then put a Katzkin seat kit in it down the road.

If you are listening GM WTF!! I wish there was some place to complain where someone would actually listen.

Exact reason why I got cloth. Its ridiculous that they call it leather at all.

I know it doesn't make you feel any better but this is common. New Camaro owners have the same complaint. I'm not sure if it has more to do with cost or maybe durability since kids are usually the ones riding in the back. Does kinda suck though.

The only reason I ordered a SLT is because I like the uplevel dash way more and wanted the signal mirrors. I could have done without leather but figured hey it felt nice in the few I looked at prior to ordering this one but never once paid attention to the rears.

vinyl is cheaper, but more durable and easier to clean

I'd never pay that much for a gas truck. I would have just gotten a lower model diesel for that price. But yes I love my cloth seats and would never pay for " leather seats"

I talked to a buddy who sells them and he said that none of them are real leather, fronts or rears on any of the GM's. Not sure if thats true or not.

My 01 Sierra SLT is leather in front and vinyl in the rear. Not even all of the front seat is leather. IIRC it is only the "seating surface". I think rear seats have been vinyl since 1999 at least.
